energynautics organises regular Workshops of international acclaim that have developed into meeting points for international experts and provide optimal conditions for an intense exchange of opinions, knowledge, and project experience.
The most important event is the "International Workshop on Large-Scale Integration of Wind Power into Power Systems as well as on Transmission Networks for Offshore Wind Farms", that is dedicated to network integration and decentralized energy production.
Since 2011 this Workshop has been held together with the "International Workshop on Integration of Solar Power into Power Systems" as well as with corresponding Wind and Solar Tutorials.
The main goal is to:
- Discuss technical and economic issues of the (large-scale) integration of wind and solar power including recent progress in transmission technology (AC and DC);
- Discuss project experience;
- Discuss innovative ideas and present results from ongoing research;
- Stimulate interdisciplinary thinking among wind and solar energy and power transmission industries as well as universities;
- Identify subjects requiring more research efforts;
- Exchange ideas, results and knowledge;
- Promote comprehensive discussions and brainstorming.
Also since 2011, energynautics has been organising the "Wind Integration Symposium" - a more flexible plattform to discuss selected topics without going to a lengthy academic paper submission and selection process.
The personal contact within the sector and beyond individual branches as well as bringing together academia and industry practitioners invigorates future development and contributes through discussions to arriving at innovative solutions.
