Curriculum Vitae
Early 2008, Dr. Nis Martensen joined the energynautics team.
He studied at the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany.
As a former research assistant this Institute he has close contacts to the scientific institutions of the renowned Darmstadt and Clausthal Universities, where he in addition received a degree in energy systems technology.
In Clausthal he already developed an innovative solar lamp as part of his graduate studies. As his final project he designed, developed and built a frequency converter for high-speed drives.
His current research work towards a Ph.D. focuses on problems and solutions in the area of control and communication in virtual power plants with a large penetration of combined heat and power units. He completed this work by the end of 2009.
