We provide research and consultancy services to the energy industry, especially regarding network integration of renewable energies and innovative energy applications, as well as in the area of energy policy, i.e. deregulation of energy markets.

We also develop or assist in the development of sustainable energy projects.

Energynautics GmbH was founded in 2000 by Thomas Ackermann, Dörte Müller, and Jörg Braun.

Thomas Ackermann
He holds a combined Master of Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration (Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur) from Berlin Technical University, Germany, as well as a Master of Science in Physics from Otago University, New Zealand and a PhD from the Royal Institute of Technology (Kungliga Tekniska Högskolan) Stockholm, Sweden. His research focuses on wind power and distributed generation in power systems.
He has worked for a number of consulting and research companies, including Roland Berger & Partner, International Management Consultants, Munich, Germany; Price Waterhouse, Corporate Finance Consultants, Berlin, Germany; DesignPower Ltd., Engineering Consultants, Wellington, New Zealand; and Industrial Research Limited (IRL), Science and Technology Research Company, Member of the Crown Research Institutes, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Dörte Müller
She received a PhD from Leipzig University, Germany. Her main field of study was linguistics and translation theory. She holds a degree in translation and interpreting for the languages English, Spanish, and German. She also has an MBA from Schiller International University, Madrid/Berlin. After working several years with training translators of Spanish, English, and German at Leipzig University, she was a senior consultant at Price Waterhouse, Corporate Finance, Berlin.
In Sweden, she started her own translation company powerwording that specialises in translations between Swedish, English, German, and Spanish as well as language and communication consultancy. Energy and related issues are one field of her translation expertise.

Jörg Braun
He is a banker and has been working for 20 years for a major German bank. He is an expert in company financing.

Eckehard Tröster
He joined Energynautics in 2007 and holds a Master of Electrical Engineering from Darmstadt University of Technology, Germany. He is currently working on his PhD, which will be finished in 2008. His research focuses on electrical power systems, renewable energies and electrical machines, especially wind power generators. He has worked as a scientific assistant at the Institute of Renewable Energies, Darmstadt, where he did research on a special direct drive wind power generator: the permanent magnet induction generator. Further on he gained experience in the field of photovoltaic during his work at Solar Century, London, UK.
